Diving in the Caribbean Sea:

• Directions from Tampa: This is one of those trip things. Getting there from Tampa usually involves a plane ... though it could be a boat ... but you won't be driving there. Cozumel is "in" the state of Quintana Roo, Mexico.
• Conditions on the day of my visit: Sunny - got a little more toasted than usual ...
  
  
• Personal Notes: Chankanaab Park is a kind of amusement park - not a lot to it as far as I could tell, but I was there to dive with Dolphins. Thing is, it wasn't what I would have liked.
  
  My advice to those thinking of doing this dive is not to do it. If you really want to spend over $100 diving, go to Epcot and do the Living Seas Exhibit - it's cheaper.
  
  The dolphins are penned in. That in and of itself didn't bother me so much really. What bugged me was that we were a group, with only one dolphin, and we were told where to sit (not so much swim), and how to get the dolphin to come to us and do certain behaviors. The water was shallow, the visibility sucked, and we weren't there for that long.
  
  I would have much preferred free time with the dolphins - let them come out and play if they wanted, otherwise no biggie. But this dolphin (nice guy, but still) was on a "perform and reward" leash.
