My Sister was visiting from the Bahamas, so I spent the morning diving with her.
Diving in the Atlantic Ocean:
- Directions from Tampa: I usually head down HW60 to Yeehaw Junction, then take the Turnpike south. I get off of the Turnpike at Lake Worth Road.
- Conditions on the day of my visit: Sunny but very rough.
- Personal Notes: One can get very spoiled diving off of Boynton Beach. It's also a good place to go after you've done a fancy trip so you can compare where you went with what you can do. Often times it seems as if there are more fish, and a wider variety, off of Boynton Beach than anywhere else.
The names of the reefs below aren't telling the full story - we tend to drift so much and stay down so long that we actually visited three different reefs on our dives.
No pictures this trip - it's hard to justify taking the camera when I'm fairly certain I'm not going to take the time to take video off of it, and all I'll get onto the site is stills. Besides, sometimes it's nice just to dive.
